Question: Did I/you/he/she/we/they use to smoke?

Negative: I/you/he/she/we/they did not/didn’t use to smoke.

Would

Statement: He would always go to Italy for holidays.

Question: Would you go to the seaside with your parents when you were a child?

Negative: My grandma wouldn’t wake me up early in the morning during the holidays.
