Statement: I/you/he/she/it/we/they will be working

Question: Will I/you/he/she/it/we/they be working?

Negative: I/you/he/she/it/we/they won’t be working

a) We use the future continuous tense to talk about something that will be in progress at a particular time.

  • What will you be doing this time next week?
  •  I’ll be working in my office at 2 o’clock tomorrow.

b) We use the future continuous tense to talk about something that will happen because an arrangement has already been made. (similar to the present continuous)

  •  I’ll be driving into the town later on. Do you want a lift?
  • Next month, he will be working at his new job.

c) We can use it as a polite way of asking about other people’s plans, especially when we want someone to do something for us, so we can use it as a polite way of asking about arrangements.

  • Will you be using your car at the weekend? I wonder if I could borrow it.
  • When will you be seeing Sally? Could you give her that textbook?
