Present Continuous – How do we form it?

Verb + -ing (present participle).

See below for examples in each form:

Affirmative

I am watching the TV./ I’m watching the TV.

He / She/ It is working. /He’s / She’s / It’s working.

We / You / They are listening to music. / We’re / You’re / They’re listening to music.

Questions

Am I watching the TV?

 

Is he / she / it working?

Are you / we / they listening to music?

Negative

I am not watching the TV. / I’m not watching the TV.

He / She/ It is not working. / He / She/ It’s not working

We / You / They are not listening to music. / We’re not / You’re not /They’re not listening to music.
